Ethiopia with Art-Tour in February 2017

Dear friends,

In February 2017 the ART-TOUR goes to Ethiopia.
We go to the ancient biblical country. The two-week journey promises to be eventful and interesting. The first part is devoted to the North of the country with amazing mountains, lakes and cities. We visit the source of the Blue Nile, we will see baboons at the mountains of the Simen National Park, we will walk along ancient streets of Orthodox Aksum and Lalibela.
Continuing our journey we will visit tribes of the Southern Ethiopia, where we will be able to get acquainted with day-to-day life of Mursi, Tsemai, Hamer and other African people. We will visit the crocodile farm and markets, where the locals from the villages of neighboring area gather.

And for lovers of thrills, as a continuation of our Ethiopian adventure you may join the expedition to the most mysterious desert in the world – the Danakil Depression.
Join us!

Гастроли! Sharon Lewis! (USA)
«Мощный и проникновенный голос Sharon Lewis – это восьмое чудо света в мире музыки» Howard Reich, музыкальный критик Chicago Tribune
Sharon Lewis сравнивают с Aretha Franklin, Etta James и Koko Taylor.
Rosa’s lounge.

Ticket to USA: Start your US nursing career here.
It’s never too early nor too late for any nurse to start the journey towards the American Dream!

Pursuing a career in the US takes the most time and effort among all other countries, but it doesn’t have to be as overwhelming as how many agencies portray it to be! We’re here not just to fill you in with the details—we’re here to fill you in with the only details that you need to know. With this orientation, you won’t find yourself confused about the process; repeating certain steps unnecessarily; or incurring costs for things that don’t have to be incurred yet!

NCLEX passers: The process is much easier than you think as you’ve already accomplished the first—and one of the biggest—step. Don’t just throw all that opportunity away! Through this orientation, you might even be included in our line-up for our client interviews from February 24, 27 to 28.

Non-NCLEX passers / takers: There is still hope and that’s why we’re inviting you to the orientation, too! We from Abba are always here to guide interested, persistent nurses.

Admission is FREE, so don’t hesitate to bring as many nurse friends as possible.

Click “Going” to confirm your attendance to this event, just don’t forget to bring your CV, COE, TOR and diploma, PRC board certificate, PRC board rating, license, passport and other pertinent documents.

Ethiopian Fundraising Dinner & Drinks @ Middle Park Bowling Club Canterbury Road Melbourne, VIC 3206 Australia

Lets get together for a cause!

We invite you to embrace the beautiful spices and flavours of authentic Ethiopian food. This Ethiopian Fundraising Dinner has been organised to share in the culture of Ethiopia as well as raise funds to provide seeds for the community of Hudad in Ethiopia.

Due to global warming and lack of access to education their farming has suffered leaving the community of Hudad to rely on International food aid to survive. We aim to raise funds to provide seeds for the villages of Hudad. Then Friends of the Hudad will purchase seeds from their local supplier and facilitate a trainer who will support the villages planting, growing and harvesting the crop.

Friends of the Hudad is a not for profit organisation aiming to facilitate environmental, social and economic prosperity in the community Hudad.

African Landscapes Dialogue @ Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center Gullele Botanic Garden Ethiopia
Mar 6 – Mar 9 all-day
African Landscapes Dialogue @ Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center Gullele Botanic Garden Ethiopia

Those working to achieve sustainable development, food security and climate resilience in Africa, please join us for this powerful multi-day learning and sharing event.

Leaders from community organizations, farmer groups, local governments, food and agri-businesses, NGOs and other stakeholders across Africa are working together through integrated landscape management to achieve multiple goals from their land and resources. They take different entry points and use different names, including forest landscape restoration, model forests, sustainable land and water management, and agriculture green growth corridors, to name just a few. If you are one of those people, the African Landscapes Dialogue is designed for you.

This learning event will provide a dynamic forum for leaders to share their diverse experiences with implementing integrated landscape management. They will participate in skills-building sessions, learn about new planning, management and monitoring tools demonstrated by their creators, visit firsthand landscapes where the power of integrated landscape approaches are visible, and more.
The African Landscapes Dialogue will gather the diverse communities of practice in sustainable landscapes at the beautiful campus of HOAREC&N in Ethiopia to learn together through:

Sharing best practices from their own landscapes
Sharing lessons learned from research and experiences across landscapes and countries
Exchanging tools and resources
Developing collaborative actions
Facilitated cross-sectoral conversation
Optional study tours of landscapes

This event is in service of The African Landscapes Action Plan, agreed at the 2014 Landscapes for People, Food and Nature in Africa conference in Nairobi and endorsed by the African Union’s New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD). The plan emphasized the importance of capacity-development to advance integrated landscape management across Africa.
The conference is hosted by the Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center & Network (HOAREC&N) at their meetingplace in the Gullele Botanic Garden in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Organizing partners include HOAREC&N, the African Model Forest Network, EcoAgriculture Partners, NEPAD/TerrAfrica, Solidaridad Network, the Water and Land Resources Center (WLRC) and the World Resources Institute.
Supporting partners include the Netherlands Ministry for Economic Affairs, SwedBio, Solidaridad Network, and the World Resources Institute.

To view the conference program and more details, visit the conference event page on the Landscapes for People, Food and Nature Initiative website.
