Do I have to arrive at exactly 6:30 PM? No, feel free to arrive any time between 6:30 and 7:30 PM

How many people will be there? Based on past events we expect between 100 and 200 people to be in attendance

Is there music? Yes, there will be great music playing at just the right volume for mingling

Are there drinks? Yes, there’s a full menu of great drink specials available at the bar.

Is food available? Yes you can order food. The venue has a full food menu and great appetizers available to order.

What is the dress code? While there’s no official dress code we ask that you don’t wear gym gear or baseball caps. What you wear to work in likely perfectly fine.

Who attends the event? Professionals of all sorts and ages.

Can I arrive late? Absolutely. Arrive any time you’d like. The event officially starts at 6:30 but if traveling in from a distance you’re welcome to arrive at 7:30 or after.

Rooftop Reds is the world’s first commercial rooftop vineyard–Our 168 grapevines could use some company, so come for a drink or two!
About this event
As we welcome our beloved community back to Rooftop Reds we must ask everyone to adhere to guidelines that will keep clients and staff members safe.

Each $15 reservation comes with a bag of Zapp’s Potato Chips and a sustainably packaged boxed water.

**Refunds must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the start time of your ticketed event or reservation session**

**Please note that an automatic 20% gratuity will be applied to groups of 6+**

**We allow guests to order pizza exclusively from Il Porto Pizzeria. We have menus onsite for ordering pizzas upon arrival. For guests looking to order other items from Il Porto, please contact events@rooftopreds.com**

**Guests will not be able to order pizza from Il Porto Pizzeria during food programming on Friday nights beginning on May 21st and ending in September.**

Covid-19 Safety Procedures at Rooftop Reds

Hand washing station at entrance to the rooftop for guests and employees to use upon entering the rooftop.

All surfaces will be wiped down in between reservation sessions with CDC approved disinfectant.

The indoor tasting room and vestibule areas will only be accessible for Rooftop Reds employees.

**Guests who make reservations separately but want to sit together need to notify Rooftop Reds OR make a reservation under one name for up to 10 people. Groups that fail to meet this expectation may not be accommodated**

**If your group size exceeds 10 people, you must contact events@rooftopreds.com**

**Your ticket is linked to a specific reservation time frame—end times are strictly enforced and must be adhered to. For example, if you purchase tickets to a 12pm—3pm session, you can arrive any time after 12pm, but will be asked to leave the rooftop by 3pm.**

Guidelines for enjoying your time at Rooftop Reds

Guests are forbidden from using the freight elevator–any guest caught using the elevator will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund for their ticket.

Guests are required to wear a mask upon entering the Brooklyn Navy Yard and must keep it on until they are seated in their reservation space. This applies to time spent in the stairwell, hallway, restroom, and other public areas of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Guests must stay in their reservation space in order to ensure proper social distancing.

The indoor tasting room and vestibule areas will only be accessible for Rooftop Reds employees.

An email will be sent to you with a barcode to enter into the Brooklyn Navy Yard where we are located. Please enter the Navy Yard via the Sands Street gate at 299 Sands Street. Please show the barcode you receive the day of your reservation to the security guard at the sands street gate. Proceed past the gate and take a right at the stop sign–you will see Duggal on your left and the Wegmans’ loading dock on your right–the building straight ahead is the building Rooftop Reds is located in, Building #275. Follow the signs to the eastern staircase and walk up to the rooftop (5 flights up!) then promptly enjoy cold water and a refreshing glass of wine!

Some recent films have suggested that five emotions help humans navigate our complex world, but the characters we meet in these short films display a much more complex network of passions, sentiments and affections in response to modern life. For some, like a woman whose Valentine’s Day spent with friends turns into a viral, kinetic and very public freakout, emotions run high. They seem unable to fight the stirring from within. Others must control their feelings for employment or survival like a very zen referee facing near constant provocation from players on the soccer pitch and shark diver who confronts fear under the roiling ocean surface. Still others must dive deep to seek out their emotions like a son whose sweet, befuddling and hilarious send off to his dead father releases the sadness bubbling inside. Thank goodness for the therapists, meditation instructors and even the tears teachers – a very real teacher who encourages adults to cry more – who also populate these filmic spaces. Come experience the anguish and awe, the sorrow and surprise and maybe even a new feeling you’ve never felt before on this short film journey through human emotions.

FAQs

How will it work?

Using your RSVP, our team will check in all patrons by last name at will call. Before your arrival, we will ask you to make sure you can answer “no” to all of the CDC’s COVID-19 safety screening questions. Upon arrival, we will be checking proof of full vaccination. Masks are strongly recommended for children 12 and up. Masks will be required while interacting with event staff and encouraged but not required while watching the films. Chairs will not be permitted on the lawn, so feel free to bring picnic blankets!

Can I bring food and drinks?

No alcoholic beverages are allowed. Feel free to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages!

I’m vaccinated, do I need to wear a mask?

All attendees and staff are required to wear a mask while interacting. You will also be reminded of the mandatory safety measures via email and on screen.

What COVID-19 Measures Have Been Taken?

Our guests and our team’s safety is our primary concern. Our COVID-19 safety measures include social distancing for both guests and staff, regular cleaning of all facilities, and contact-free check-in. All attendees and staff are required to wear a mask while interacting. You will also be reminded of the mandatory safety measures via email and on-screen. We will be checking all guests proof of vaccination at check-in.

How accessible is this venue?

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Rooftop Films are open to all ages.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There will not be parking on site at this venue. The closest train stations will be Christopher St. station and W 4th St. station.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It is not necessary to print your ticket. Our team will check the name on your RSVP at will call.
