Reiseablauf
Tag 1: Anreise
Am späten Abend Flug von Frankfurt nach Addis Abeba.
Tag 2: Addis Abeba – Gondar
Übernachtung in einfacher Steinhütte.
Tag 14: Erta Ale – Mekele

Celebrate Ethiopian Jews, religious traditions, and cultural diversity! You are invited to feast on Ethiopian food and celebrate the holiday of Sigd in true Ethiopian Fashion! Sigd (Meaning to Bow Down) is an Ethiopian Jewish tradition celebrated by the Beta Israel tribe in Ethiopia and Israel that commemorates the first time G-d reveals himself to Moses. Like Yom Kippur, Ethiopian Jews fast on this holiday and then end with a party like none other! Ethiopian Cuisine is a style of cookery that has combined the best principles of the Arab kitchen with the use of classic African ingredients, such as peanuts, bananas, rice, coconuts, spinach, corn and beans….etc. We are excited to offer a wide range of traditional dishes from the Beta Israel tribe and hope you will join us in this beautiful Break Fast festival! There will be vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Come out to Wheaton Regional Park for TASSC’s first annual Run for Strength, a 5k run and 1 mile walk to support the Torture Abolition and Survivor Support Coalition (TASSC) International. Meet and run with TASSC staff, supporters and survivors, including elite Ethiopian runners who were forced to flee their home countries after being persecuted by the government. Festivities, refreshments, music, and mingling will immediately follow the run. If you can’t make the run and you still want to support TASSC, feel free to sign up as a virtual runner, donate directly on our website (tassc.org/donate), or join us for the post-run celebration!
Proceeds from Run for Strength will benefit the survivors of torture TASSC serves each year. Among the many free services TASSC offers to survivors are psychological counselling, yoga and massage therapy, social services, workforce development training, and legal support as survivors seek asylum in the US. TASSC currently provides holistic services to 330 survivors annually, fulfilling its mission to end the practice of torture wherever it occurs and to support survivors as they empower themselves, their families and communities wherever they are. Since 1998, TASSC has helped over 7,000 survivors rebuild their lives through in-house, holistic, comprehensive and trauma-informed services.
Please join us on December 4th for our first ever Run for Strength! If you have any questions, you can contact our Race Organizer at info@tassc.org

The theme for the 2016 African Economic Conference (AEC) is “Feeding Africa: Towards Agro-Allied Industrialization for Inclusive Growth”. This theme is timely and in line with the current African and international development agenda. Ending poverty and overcoming hunger and food insecurity permanently come first and second, respectively, in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) endorsed in September 2015 by UN member States. This commitment is also stressed by the African Union Agenda 2063 that recognizes the right of all Africans to be well-nourished and lead healthy and productive lives. Furthermore, the Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Programme (CAADP), as well as the June 2014 Malabo declaration, highlight that a structural transformation of African agriculture is central to growth and poverty eradication on the continent. Consistent with these goals, agriculture and industrialization are at the heart of the work by the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and their vision and long-term strategy for a prospered and inclusive Africa.

Sharon Lewis! (USA)
Chicago Tribune
Sharon Lewis сравнивают с Aretha Franklin, Etta James и Koko Taylor.
Rosa’s lounge.
