ABOUT LION BABE ✹
LION BABE is a New York bred funk and soul duo comprised of multidisciplinary artist Jillian Hervey and producer/DJ Lucas Goodman, (also known as Astro Raw.) The pair are known for their unique sound and look and associate themselves with the term ‘futuristic nostalgia’ to describe their genre. LION BABE blends vintage colors with modern sonics. They started with their break out single “Treat Me Like Fire” in 2012, which quickly garnered attention across the globe.
Since then, the duo has been steadily rising, and have released one LP titled “Begin” (2016 with Universal) including “Wonder Woman” produced by Pharrell Williams, along with “Jump Hi” featuring Childish Gambino. They followed with their mix tape “Sunjoint” featuring JunglePussy, Raury and Angel Haze. Jillian also co – wrote and sang “Hourglass” on the Grammy-nominated Disclosure album “Caracal.” They are known for their magnetic performances, both at intimate fashion and art parties as well as major festivals like Glastonbury and the main stage at Coachella. They have also performed on TV for the The Soul Train Awards and the Today Show, (where they performed their cover of Tom Jones’ hit “She’s a Lady,” which was also used for H&M.
In 2018, LION BABE released singles “Rockets” featuring Moe Moks, “Honey Dew” and “Hit the Ceiling” which was featured on HBO’s hit show “Insecure.” The duo also wrote an original song “Just Me” for Season 3 of “Insecure” which is featured on the show’s soundtrack (curated by Raphael Saadiq.)
This year they have released covers of classics “Get Into The Party Life” by Little Beaver and Carly Simon’s “Why.” This has all led up to their new album “Cosmic Wind” featuring pre – released records “The Wave” featuring Leikeli47 and their newest single “Western World” featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s own “Raekwon.”
“Cosmic Wind” is a record that showcases the bands growth as artists and musicians, and is rooted in themes of transformation and inevitable change.

What ticket do I need to purchase?! What are my driving options?
Every single lady must have GENERAL ADMISSION ticket to enter the property. If you are the driver of a car or truck you must also purchase a Car / Truck Parking Pass. We cannot accommodate RVS or Toyhaulers at this time but you can bring a motorcycle trailer of 10 ft or less behind your vehicle. Tickets to the event must be purchased in advance. If you end up having to drive, there will be car passes only available at the gate for purchase (cash only). We repeat: no tickets to the event will be sold at the gate, only parking passes.
I am only coming for 1 night, do I get a discount?
Sorry! All tickets are for the full weekend.
Do I get a specific camping spot assigned to me?
No spots are pre-assigned but you are guaranteed a space. The camp area is first come, first serve. There is plenty of amazing spots for everyone. Car campers will be in a separate area. We have rented the best part of the campsite for you to enjoy! There are tons of trees and lean-to’s on the property and we are right on the Delaware River.
What is up with food and water?
We will have a food truck on site and there is a camp store that is fully stocked! Feel free to bring your own coolers with food, water, booze etc. The WIFI doesn’t work so bring cash (ATMS are in town but not on site). There are grocery stores / restaurants etc. in town less than half a mile away if you have special dietary needs. Gas stations are within 1 mile and a liquor store within walking distance. Google the area and see what is available.
I want to shoot, take video, do a social media takeover for this event for a brand, magazine, online editorial, etc Do I need permission?
We’d love to hear more! Babes Ride Out is a private event and we do the best we can not to distract our guests so they can have the best time possible. If you want to shoot the event in any way for a media source, a brand, or other non-personal use, please email press@babesrideout.com for permission as no commercial photography or video of any kind is allowed unless approved by BRO. Images for your own use are 100% awesome and appreciated! No need to ask if it’s for yourself and/or personal social media, we only ask that you be respectful to the other attendees 🙂

You can transfer your ticket to another guest but you are solely responsible for doing so. Log in to your Eventbrite and click on your tickets. You will see options to edit your ticket information. You must type in the person's first name, last name, and email address and click to save and send new confirmation. If your buddy doesn't get the confirmation, they won't be on the list so please follow up and ensure they got the transfer. Click HERE for step by step. ****No transfers can be made after ticket sales have ended**** The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? Your ticket must match your ID. If someone bought your ticket for you and did not put it in your name, you must show up together so the ticket holder can collect both tickets. What's with the other folks camping in the campgrounds? Please note that Babes Ride Out does not have access to rent the entire campround for the entire weekend. There is a group that has been camping there for the past 30 years for an annual canoe tripe and they have been nice enough to share the space with us and allow us to have our event there. They are very kind and respectful and we ask that you treat the the same. They are also the ones that host the awesome fireworks at night!

dexterously maneuvering between hard rock, neo soul, funk, and more, the heavy consistently put out tracks that refuse to be compartmentalized, yet are held together by an infectious unifying groove. the british rockers have likely infiltrated your homes already, prominently appearing on countless soundtracks, from their breakthrough single “how you like me now” to their hit single “what makes a good man.” now with their 5th studio album, ‘sons’ is set to release on 5/17, the band will play in support the album at Elsewhere on 6/11.

No strangers to the Bandshell stage, The National returns for a benefit concert this year, along with indie rocker Courtney Barnett.
About this Event
This performance is SOLD OUT.
Both individually and collectively The National’s members have been involved in countless artistic, charitable, and socio-political pursuits. The group released A Lot of Sorrow documenting their collaboration with installation artist Ragnar Kjartansson, which took place at MOMA’s PS1 and saw the band play their song “Sorrow” for six hours in front of a live audience. The group is behind the Red Hot benefit albums Dark Was The Night and Day Of The Dead, and the compilation boxed set titled 7-Inches for Planned Parenthood. Band members have received a Golden Globe Nomination for work on the score of the 2015 film Revenant; founded or played a major part in Boston Calling, MusicNow, Eaux Claires, and Haven Festivals; participated heavily in both Obama Presidential Campaigns; and much more.
2013 also saw the theatrical release of their documentary, Mistaken For Strangers, set to the backdrop of the band’s 2010 release High Violet. The documentary was chosen to premiere on the opening night of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival followed by a theatrical release in the U.S. and worldwide distribution. Over their 16-year career the band has sold more than 1.7 million albums in the U.S. alone. The National consists of Matt Berninger (vocals) fronting two pairs of brothers: Aaron (guitar, bass, piano) and Bryce Dessner (guitar, piano), and Scott (bass, guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums).
Courtney Barnett is one of the most distinctive and compelling voices in indie rock, a singer-songwriter who mixes deeply insightful observations with devastating self-assessment. With countless awards in her home of Australia as well as Grammy and BRIT nominations, fawning press and an adoring audiences, Barnett’s rise to global prominence feels both unprecedented and important. 2017 saw the release of the wonderful album Lotta Sea Lice, an introspective but beautiful album of duets with Kurt Vile and a gorgeous place-holder while we awaited the release of her world-weary-but-fierce sophomore solo album Tell Me How You Really Feel in 2018.

ABOUT ANI DIFRANCO
Widely considered a feminist icon, Grammy winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement, being one of the first artists to create her own record label in 1990. While she has been known as the “Little Folksinger,” her music has embraced punk, funk, hip hop, jazz, soul, electronica and even more distant sounds. Her collaborators have included everyone from Utah Phillips to legendary R&B saxophonist Maceo Parker to Prince. She has shared stages with Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Seeger, Kris Kristofferson, Greg Brown, Billy Bragg, Michael Franti, Chuck D., and many more. Her most recent album Binary was released in June 2017 on Righteous Babe Records and her memoir No Walls and the Recurring Dream will be released on May 7, 2019 by Viking Books.
Rejecting the major label system has given her significant creative freedom. She has referenced her staunchly-held independence in song more than once, including in “The Million You Never Made” (Not a Pretty Girl), which discusses the act of turning down a lucrative contract, “The Next Big Thing” (Not So Soft), which describes an imagined meeting with a label head-hunter who evaluates the singer based on her looks, and “Napoleon” (Dilate), which sympathizes sarcastically with an unnamed friend who did sign with a label. After recording with Ani in 1999, Prince described the effects of her independence. “We jammed for four hours and she danced the whole time. We had to quit because she wore us out. After being with her, it dawned on me why she’s like that – she’s never had a ceiling over her.”
Her lyrics are rhythmic and poetic, often autobiographical, and strongly political. “Trickle Down” discusses racism and gentrification, while “To The Teeth” speaks about the need for gun control, and “In or Out” questions society’s traditional sexuality labels. Most recently, the 2016 single “Play God” has become a battle cry for reproductive rights. Rolling Stone said of her in 2012, “The world needs more radicals like Ani DiFranco: wry, sexy, as committed to beauty and joy as revolution.”
Over the years she’s performed at countless benefit concerts, donated songs to many charity albums, and given time and energy to many progressive causes. She has learned from and demonstrated beside Gloria Steinem, Jesse Jackson and Dennis Kucinich. In 2004, she marched in the front row of the March for Women’s Lives along with Margaret Cho, Janeane Garofalo, Whoopi Goldberg, and many others, later performing on the main stage. She has beaten the drum for voter registration and turnout with “Vote Dammit” tours in multiple presidential election years, including most recently in 2016. She’s currently on the board of Roots of Music, an organization that provides at-risk youth with support and musical education in New Orleans, and the creative council of EMILY’s List, which helps elect pro-choice Democratic women to office.
As an iconic songwriter and social activist, she has been the inspiration for woman artists and entrepreneurs for over two decades. She has been featured on the covers of SPIN, Ms., Relix, High Times, and many others for her music and activism. She is the idol of empowered women who came of age in the 90s and continues to bring younger fans into her fold. From Alice Walker to Amy Schumer, Ani is respected by wordsmiths across milieux and generations. She blazed the trail for self-directed artist careers and has been cited by musicians from Prince to Bon Iver as an inspiration to release their own art outside of the major label system.
Ani has been the recipient of many honors and awards, including a Grammy for best album package (Evolve), the Woman of Courage Award from the National Organization for Women, the Gay/Lesbian American Music Award for Female Artist of the Year, and the Woody Guthrie Award. At the 2013 Winnipeg Folk Festival she received their prestigious Artistic Achievement Award, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Winnipeg. In 2017, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from A2IM (a nonprofit trade organization that represents independent record labels) and the Outstanding Achievement for Global Activism Award from A Global Friendship.

About this Event
Indie rock and alt-country come together when singer-songwriters Father John Misty and Jason Isbell bring their co-headlining tour to the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival this summer.
Father John Misty, also known as Joshua Tillman or J. Tillman, has a 15-year career in the music industry, including stints with groups including Demon Hunter, Saxon Shore, Fleet Foxes, and more. His solo career took off in 2012 thanks to a sound that featured “smooth and gentle soft-rock with his olden croon centered so perfectly on every pitch,” (Pitchfork) and his 2018 album, God’s Favorite Customer is “without a doubt Tillman’s most personal album to date under his Father John Misty moniker” (Paste).
Originally a member of the influential alt-country entourage Drive-By Truckers, Jason Isbell’s solo work weaves elements of Southern rock, gospel, and American ballad into a vivid musical voice. The four-time GRAMMY Award winner returns to the Bandshell with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, having released Live From The Ryman in 2018, featuring “invigorated versions of Isbell’s best tunes given a crackling edge” (American Songwriter).
British singer-songwriter Jade Bird, described by Rolling Stone as “an indie-pop sensation with a punk edge,” opens the show.
