Since 2004, Games for Change (G4C) has celebrated the power of video games and immersive technology to educate, inspire, and address social justice and civic issues. Our Festivals have connected a global community from over 170 countries, showcasing how games can drive meaningful change.
This year, we’re exploring “Reimagining Play”—how play has evolved beyond games into a living, evolving force for change. As new technologies, communities, and storytelling formats reshape how we play, we’ll bring together creators, researchers, educators, and innovators to examine play as a dynamic space for experimentation, collaboration, and creative exploration. Experience two days of keynotes, workshops, awards, and networking that showcase play’s impact across education, health, civic engagement, and social innovation.

We’re happy to be at The Club by Mr. Purple, which is a new space on the 14th floor of Hotel Indigo Lower East Side. For those who haven’t been, it’s an impeccably designed club space with west-facing skyline windows. Take a video tour here.

Love to party, but also love a good night’s rest? (Looking at you millennials 👀)
With Matinée, you can have both.
It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.
The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7:30pm to give you a second wind.

The UK producer, vocalist and songwriter has built a world entirely his own through emotionally charged electronic music moving between house and indie dance. He continues to blur the line between live songwriting and dancefloor energy.
Refuge Hi-Def Dance Club is a 500-cap underground nightclub in East Williamsburg built around sound, energy, and atmosphere. At its core is REX, a custom 4-point system designed by co-founder Craig “Shorty” Bernabeu, with four 10-foot stacks surrounding the dance floor for a powerful, immersive experience. Each night is curated to push that system to its full potential — a true Musical Arts Performance in every sense.

The Immersive Experience Institute presents an evening long event exploring the issues around marketing immersive art & entertainment.
We’re bringing the fabled Next Stage Salon series to New York City for the first time with this special edition that will explore the always thorny issues around finding your audience as creators of immersive & experiential arts, entertainment, and culture.
From defining your demo to dealing with the gatekeepers of modern media – institutions & influencers alike – this peer-to-peer event will put attendees in direct connection with those who have successfully strategized, produced, and hacked their way to relevance.
Presented at Brooklyn immersive nightlife venue Dead Letter No. 9 – which is opening its doors JUST FOR US that night – we’re gathering a deep bench of producing talent to take part in the discussions.
We’re maximizing peer-to-peer time with two rounds of Salon discussions and a Happy Hour right in the middle of the action, giving every participant more chances to connect across the breadth of NYC’s immersive creative & producing community.
